BLGC Business Breakfast for new Patrons

First slide

More than 100 local business people including WPL’s MD, Richard Rowson, attended the second in a series of ‘Business Breakfasts’ planned for 2017 by Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC) and sponsored by Peter Gray from Premier Conservatory Supplies.

As a new Patron of BLGC, Richard Rowson was invited to this Business Breakfast to meet a range of local businesses and be presented with WPL’s Patron Certificate along with other Patrons representing the RZ Group, Bradshaw Gass & Hope as well as Handlesbanken who had upgraded their patronage from Bronze to Silver.

Supporters and Patrons were welcomed by the Club’s Chief Executive Karen Edwards OBE, who delivered a speech about the importance of Mentors for young children in the Bolton community and all the different ways local people can have a much more positive impact on both individuals and BLGC.

Speaking at the event, Shona Walsh, Head of Fundraising said: “It’s wonderful that our esteemed Patrons continue to lend their commitment and support to the work of BLCG. We are very grateful for their support and recognition of the value of the services we provide in Bolton and look forward to working together.”

Guests were also treated to a presentation by Peter Gray, proud patron of the club, and Director of Premier Conservatory Supplies, who passionately spoke about his company and how any work they carry out for supporters of BLGC will include a £100 donation towards the club.

Peter explained: “Business Breakfast meetings like this are an amazing opportunity to network and build partnerships with fellow patrons and supporters. It’s great that we have been able to showcase our work as well as be involved with such an amazing charity like Bolton Lads & Girls Club.”

WPL’s MD, Richard Rowson, reiterated these comments about being a Patron saying: “We are very proud to be sponsoring a local but nationally renowned charity for a cause which is enabling our youth. It was great to attend our first breakfast meeting with some interesting presentations following a very enjoyable full English breakfast. It was a really motivating way to start the working day.”

The next Business Breakfast is planned to take place in September, so for anyone interested in becoming a patron at BLGC or attending the Business Breakfast, please contact Kelly McFadden on 01204 540130.
