A brand new apartment development in the heart of Bolton Town Centre required security that doesn’t announce itself. WPL UK designed, supplied and installed six sets of SR2 security rated louvre doors across the building’s perimeter, securing plant areas, bin stores and electrical distribution rooms for both contractors and residents. Visually, the doors sit seamlessly within the facade. The security features are hidden but effective, maintaining the clean lines of a modern residential scheme. Each door set carries dual accreditation: SR2 rated for forced entry resistance and Secured by Design certified, having undergone rigorous cyclic testing of 50,000 full open and close operations across handles, locks, hinges and the complete door mechanism.
