WPL UK Limited went sky high when they were invited to design supply and install a 1m projecting perforated fin off the glazed façade at Cranfield University’s new Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre. Wind pressures in aviation terms are generated to keep the aircraft up, but down here on the ground careful design was incorporated to keep the fins firmly fixed to the façade to create a theme which is wholly appropriate to the activity within.
