The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK’s National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science and technology available so any refurbishment project had to be world class. WPL’s anodised gold Expanded Mesh was designed to furnish the building with a series of curved structures resulting in an exceptional façade.

Technical Scope

The TED Expanded Mesh was manufactured and cleverly curved to pin point accuracy to fit onto our own curved aluminium support structure. Engineering principles had to be re-written to deliver an amazing facade.
