A security rated door next to non-rated cladding is a gap in the security envelope. The door resists a prolonged attack. The louvre screen beside it does not. For anyone specifying genuine perimeter security, that contradiction undermines the entire enclosure.
WPL’s security rated louvre door and louvre screen are designed to work as a single, integrated system. Both products are manufactured from the same materials, finished to the same specification, and installed as a continuous, visually seamless facade. From the outside, there is no visible distinction between the secure screen and a standard louvre.
The difference is in what sits behind the decorative louvre face. A perforated steel plate, tested and certified to LPS 1175 SR2 by the BRE, provides the security rating without compromising the architectural appearance. The louvre screen accepts variable pitch infill, solid panels, or perforated options, all while maintaining the SR2 and PAS 24 certifications.
The louvre door is certified to LPS 1175 SR2, PAS 24, and carries Secured by Design accreditation, the official UK police security initiative. Ironmongery is independently tested to 50,000 cycles. Available as single or double leaf, with standard handles, thumb turns, or electronic access to suit operational requirements.
Together, these products address a straightforward question: is your security enclosure practically secure, or does it just look that way?
Both products are designed and CNC manufactured at our Bolton facility, with full structural calculations provided as standard. Available in any RAL colour, supply only or with UK nationwide installation.
